Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative

March 23, 2006: The participating states released a draft version of the model rule for public comment. The states received over 1,000 pages of comments from more than 100 organizations over a period of 60 days.

August 15, 2006: The participating states issued a Model Rule after taking into account the public comments received.

January 5, 2007: The participating states issued a corrected Model Rule reflecting non-substantive technical adjustments to the August 15, 2006 Model Rule.

December 31, 2008: The states issued a revised Model Rule to reflect consistencies among state rules.
