Use of Auction Proceeds for Consumer Benefit Programs

In accordance with Section 22a-174-31:Control of Carbon Dioxide Emissions/CO₂ Budget Trading Program:

• 69.5 percent of Connecticut's proceeds from the sale of RGGI CO₂ allowances provide additional support for energy efficiency programs overseen by the Energy Conservation Management Board (ECMB) and administered by Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P), United Illuminating (UI) and the Connecticut Municipal Electrical Energy Cooperative (CMEEC).
• 23 percent of proceeds support renewable energy programs administered by the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF).
