Data in RGGI COATS
The RGGI CO2 Allowance Tracking System (RGGI COATS) is the platform that records and tracks data for each state's CO2 Budget Trading Program.
RGGI COATS is used to track CO2 emissions from regulated emissions sources; track CO2 allowance holdings and transactions between accounts; determine compliance with state CO2 Budget Trading Programs; submit offset project applications and monitoring and verification reports to RGGI participating states; track CO2 offset allowance awards; submit allowance set-aside (special approval) applications to RGGI participating states; and provide public reports containing program information and market data.
