Dianne Martin was appointed to serve as Chair of the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission in September 2019.  Dianne’s term on the Commission is for six years and concludes on June 30, 2025.  Prior to being appointed as Chairwoman of the PUC, Dianne Martin was Associate Attorney General and Chief-of-Staff at the New Hampshire Department of Justice.  She previously served in the Attorney General’s Office in various other roles, including as legal counsel for procurement and contracts on behalf of all State agencies, in the Transportation and Construction Bureau as legal counsel representing the State in all legal matters, and in the Civil Bureau representing agencies in civil litigation before state and federal courts.  Before joining the Department of Justice in 2004, Chair Martin served as legal counsel for the Division for Juvenile Justice and as liaison to the New Hampshire Legislature.

Chair Martin is a graduate of Saint Anselm College and received her Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School. She was admitted to the New Hampshire bar and New Hampshire U.S. District Court bar in 2002 and to the United States Supreme Court bar in 2014.
